We want our kids to grow up hearing and knowing the gospel. We have Sunday morning Bible studies for kids of all ages where they learn about the gospel. We believe it is our role to equip parents to be the main disciple makers in their kids’ lives. One way we help partner with parents is that every Sunday school class is studying the same Bible lesson in age appropriate ways. This allows families to have ongoing conversations about what they learned.
We take the safety of your kids very seriously. Every worker is background checked, trained, and held accountable for the safety and well-being of our children.
We want our middle school and high school students to step into the world as faithful followers of Jesus. Our first step in this process is to connect students to the Bible. Our
Sunday morning Bible study at 9:45 am is separated into classes for guys and girls.
On Sunday evenings we continue helping our youth understand what it means to be a committed follower of Christ. We want our students to take ownership of their faith, so that when they leave the home they are grounded in their faith.
We take our students to camp each year as well as other events periodically scheduled.
We want ordinary men and women to live with gospel intentionality. We have Bible Studies on Sunday morning at 9:45 am for adults. We would love to help you find the right class. Each class goes through the same Bible lesson, as adults search for the truth of God’s word.
Our women have several events throughout the year geared towards helping women grow closer to Christ.
On the fourth Monday of every month our men meet for a prayer breakfast.
We love the multiple generations in our church family. We are blessed by those members in our church family who have followed Jesus for a long time. Their wisdom and care for the church is invaluable.
Our Senior Adult Ministry is active and enriching. We have a strong group that meets on the second Thursday of each month for a great program and lunch.
We also have several Bible Studies for our seniors that meet at 9:45 am on Sunday mornings.
We want to see every family that is a part of our church live on mission. As a church family we desire to live on mission and to spread the love of Christ within our community. Whether it is through prayer walking, servant evangelism, serving our local schools, block parties, Orlando Union Rescue Mission, The Sharing Center, Christian Help, Red Bags for Seminole County homeless, or the Life Choice Pregnancy Center, we seek to love the city and serve the city.
We also want to be engaged in the mission that is beyond our community. We do this through strategic partnerships with church planters or missionaries who live in those communities.
We truly seek to have an Acts 1:8 strategy, ensuring that we engage in the mission of Christ in our local community, in our state, in our country, and to a foreign land.
Longwood Christian Academy and Preschool
Our Mission is to create a Christ-centered, challenging learning environment in a safe and loving school setting for the purpose of glorifying God.
Longwood Christian Academy & Preschool was founded in 1985 as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Longwood. In 2013, the Kindergarten Program was added, and in 2014, the First Baptist Church of Longwood approved the plan to add Longwood Christian Academy with the prayer and the hope that we would add a grade each year.
We currently offer classes for school-aged children from K-6th grade.
