Dr. Chris Whaley
Pastor Chris came to serve our church in May 2000 after pastoring in Citrus County, Florida for ten years. He is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his best friend, Verna, for thirty-two years. They have two daughters: Kacie is in her third year of teaching after also graduating from Palm Beach Atlantic. Alyson graduated from Central Florida University and is a high school math teacher just like her mom. Alyson is married to Rob and lives in Melbourne, Florida and they have a baby boy named Dax born on May 15, 2008.

Director of Education / Administration
Vickie Martin
Vickie has an AS degree in Marketing and Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Leadership, as well as her Child Development Associate, her Florida Administrator/Director Credential and numerous continued education hours in various courses for all age levels. Vickie is married, has 2 sons, and has worked in full time ministry for 13 years. Her life verse is Romans 8:28, "All things work together for good for those that love God and are called according to His purpose."

Worship Pastor
Rev. Ron Laferriere
Ron came to serve our church on October 1 2007 as our full time pastor of worship ministries. Ron grew up in the Orlando area attending Oak Ridge High School and graduating from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has served in several area churches and started a church in Oviedo, being its senior pastor for 12 years. He is married to Debi who is a teacher at our Noah's Ark preschool and they have four grown children.

Minister of Youth and Children
Mitch Whittington
Mitch is the most recent addition to the FBCLongwood staff, joining us as full-time minister of youth and children in July 2008. Mitch attended the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of New Orleans, playing on both baseball teams. While his educational and career background was in the Banking industry, he has been working in Ministry full-time for the past 3 years and is excited about the future for the Youth Group and Children's Mininstry at FBCL. Mitch is married to Marybeth and has two children, Kody 13 and Peyton 9. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, LSU football, live music, spending time with his family... and peanut butter.

Interim Children's Director
Tracy Morse
Tracy came to serve our church on October 1, 2007. She has been a member and actively involved with our children for over 5 years. She graduated from Nursing school in 2002 and now works as a school nurse full time. She is married with 4 children and has been a mom for over 20 years. She became a grandmother in March of 2008.
